There is opposition to a planning application for an Astro turf pitch on green space behind the community centre in Ashbourne.
The Killegland cricket club, one of only 2 in Meath use the green space to train & fear they may have to disband if the application is granted. In addition, local residents don’t want to remove highly scarce green space which will have a knock on impact on nature / wildlife in the area.
